3DSMAX Car Modelling (Rendering)

I have now started to render my Ford Mustang. I have constructed my own lighting scene using a giant sphere with a HDRI image as it's material. Mental ray has been my choice on renderer.


I have used a combination of:



  • Expose controls
  • HDRI Images
  • Custom Materials
  • Bitmaps
  • Reflection and Refraction
  • Chips
  • Bump maps

Will be adding extra detail such as a licence plate, windscreen wipers, seat outlines, light covers and decals.
